(Fort Myers, FL) –The Minnesota Twins say pitcher Pablo López could miss the entire 2026 season.

On Tuesday, General Manager Jeremy Zoll told reporters that an MRI found López has significant tearing to his UCL in the elbow of his throwing arm.  The team will seek a second opinion, but he will likely require season-ending Tommy John surgery to repair the ligament.

López has been the Opening Day starter for the Twins for each of the past three seasons.

The Twins open up the regular season on the road against Baltimore on March 26.
