RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) – More than $33,000 has been raised to honor 19-year-old Cater “Tater” Johnson, an Iowa Lakes Community College baseball player who died last week after a bus carrying his team crashed in Calhoun County between Jolley and Twin Lakes.
A visitation was held Feb. 17 and a funeral followed on Feb. 18. People were asked to wear baby blue to honor Johnson.
More than $8,000 in donations have poured in to support the Iowa Lakes Community College baseball team via a GoFundMe page.
