The Giants don’t play their first Cactus League game until Saturday, but many of Buster Posey’s offseason additions have already made a strong impression in Scottsdale.

Luis Arráez, who signed a one-year, $12 million deal, reported to the Arizona camp early and has focused on improving his defense at second base with infield coach Ron Washington.

Harrison Bader, who joined the Giants on a two-year, $20.5 million contract, is eager to transform the weak outfield defense and play alongside Heliot Ramos and Jung Hoo Lee.

Then there’s Rafael Devers, who was acquired in a blockbuster trade last June but is spending the spring in Arizona for the first time in his MLB career. Devers doesn’t view himself as a leader, but the Giants need the slugger to anchor their lineup if they hope to contend for a playoff berth.

In this episode of “Section 415,” The Standard’s John Shea shares his observations from manager Tony Vitello’s first camp in pro ball and offers insights about the most important developments.
