Philadelphia Phillies top prospect Aiden Miller has set out two main goals for himself as he spends time with the big league team during spring training, and the first one is health.
It’s very clear that Miller wants to get back on the field.
During a recent appearance, he said, “First thing is just getting healthy, getting on the field.”
Right now, Miller has been sidelined with back soreness.
Rob Thompson did say the team is being cautious with him, and he’s getting treatment on it.
However, it’s clear that he wants to be on the field, and the team probably wants to be on the field as well, to see what he can do against big league level pitching.
And the second really big thing that Miller wants to focus on throughout spring training and really heading into this year as well, is just his consistency at the plate.
Miller said himself that there’s definitely been some months that he’s looked really good at the plate, and then some other months where he’s struggling and can’t seem to put it all together.
And that was really apparent during the, during the 2025 season.
During the months of June and July, he had an average OPS of six seventy-four.
Thankfully, he did end on a high note with an OPS over one thousand in September.
But again, that’s just not gonna be sustainable to be having those lows, those ups and downs.
So it’s e- it’s easy to see why he wants to make consistency a clear goal for him.
Again, not just in spring training, but heading into the 2026 season as well.
At some point, Miller is going to help the Phillies big league team, whether that be later in 2026 or beyond.
If he can definitely meet both of these goals and accomplish them, staying healthy and be consistent, I think we could see Miller with the big league team sooner rather than later.
