The Allan Hancock men’s basketball team ended its season losing to Citrus College in the second round of the CCCAA State Playoffs.
The final score was 87-72.
The Bulldogs hung with the No. 2 seed Owls but Cirtus finished the first half on a 18-7 run that proved to be the difference.
Hancock got within 10 points with about two minutes left in the game but turnovers allowed Citrus to hold on for the win.
Sophomore guard Trenten Lavender led the Bulldogs with 18 points and four rebounds while point guard Arlind Konjuhi finished with 17 points and center Noah Morris finished with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Hancock finished the season 21-9 and 9-3 in the Western State Conference. Lavender, Konjuhi, Morris leads a sophomore class of seven players that will graduate this spring.
Lompoc softball loses to Dos Pueblos
Lompoc senior Rianna Stouppe hit two home runs and drove in four, but the Braves lost to Dos Pueblos 10-5 on Thursday.

Stouppe homered in the third and first innings.
Dos Pueblos opened the scoring in the top of the first inning thanks to two singles.
Stouppe responded by hitting a solo home run to center field in the bottom of the first.
Dos Pueblos scored five runs on three hits in the top of the third inning. Esme Mazurkiewicz drew a walk, scoring one run, Aubrey Carreno drew a walk, scoring another, and Anastasia Brunner doubled, scoring three runs.
Lompoc made the score 8-5 in the bottom of the third inning when Stouppe homered to left field, scoring three runs, while Lynette Miguel also singled, scoring a run.
Emily Morici earned the win for Dos Pueblos.
Lompoc finished with 10 hits in the game. Mia Campitelli also finished 2-for-3.
The Braves will now travel to Atascadero for a game on Tuesday.
