USA TODAY has released an updated baseball coaches poll for week 3 of the 2026 college baseball season on March 2.
The Georgia Bulldogs are ranked as the No. 10 overall team in the country, according to USA TODAY’s coaches poll. The Dawgs have performed at an elite level to begin the 2026 season despite battling a multitude of injuries, as Georgia holds an overall record of 10-2 prior to the start of SEC play. The Dawgs are currently one of seven SEC teams ranked in the top 10, as Georgia will look to stay red hot prior to facing a several of the top college baseball teams.
Georgia dropped one spot from No. 9 to No. 10 in this week’s addition of the coaches poll. The Dawgs recorded a perfect 4-0 record throughout a series against Oakland this weekend, as Georgia could quickly begin to rise in the coaches poll once again should they continue to dominate. The Bulldogs did drop a midweek game to Troy in extra innings. Georgia has been excellent both on the mound and offensively throughout the first month of the season, as the Dawgs will look to keep things rolling against Kennesaw State on Tuesday.
“To see two of your veterans – Tre Phelps goes up there and extends hit hitting streak and gets the first home run,” manager Wes Johnson said after Georgia’s most recent win over Oakland. “Then him and Daniel (Jackson) go back-to-back. That is what this lineup can do at times. I thought it was really good.”
Georgia will be on the road for the first time all season to face Kennesaw State on Tuesday at 6 p.m. ET, as the Dawgs will look to improve to an 11-2 record to begin the year.
