Breaking news surfaced Tuesday morning in the world of baseball. Stunningly, Atlanta Braves outfielder Jurickson Profar has been suspended 162 games (a full season) for testing positive for PEDs for the second time. Jeff Passan was on the news as always.
Last season, Profar played only 80 games after testing positive for the first time. In 2024, Profar hit 24 home runs and drove in 85 runs with a .839 OPS. Those are all career highs. In 2025, Profar hit only 14 homers and 43 RBIs in 80 games.
This is difficult news for the Braves, as this is a team that has dealt with many brutal injuries and distractions over the last couple of years since they last won a World Series in 2021.
