Every game of the Mountain West softball and baseball tournaments will air on Nevada Sports Net.
The first of those two tournaments starts Wednesday in San Diego State with the Nevada Wolf Pack holding the No. 1 seed after winning the regular-season title.
Wednesday’s play-in games kick off at 3 p.m. with No. 4 Boise State playing No. 5 Utah State and No. 3 Fresno State playing No. 6 San Jose State at 6 p.m.
The double-elimination portion of the bracket starts Thursday at 3 p.m. with No. 1 Nevada playing the Boise State-Utah State winner before No. 2 San Diego State plays the Fresno State-San Jose State winner. Friday will feature three games with the conference championship set for Saturday at noon with the if-necessary game at 2:30 p.m. at 1,000-seat capacity SDSU Softball Stadium.
For the first time, the MW baseball tournament will be held at Sloan Park in Mesa, Ariz., at the home of the Chicago Cubs’ spring training facility. The event is May 21-24.
