Sixteen players from the Cincinnati Reds and Cleveland Guardians organizations will participate in the 2026 World Baseball Classic, which starts on March 4 with pool play.
Eugenio Suarez, who is returning to the Reds this season on a one-year, $15 million deal, will represent Venezuela. The other player from the Reds’ 40-man roster in the WBC is Puerto Rican shortstop Edwin Arroyo, who is the Reds No. 8 prospect according to MLB.com.

For the Guardians, catcher Bo Naylor will suit up for Team Canada and reunite with his brother and former Guardian Josh Naylor. Two pitchers from the Guardians’ 40-man roster will also suit up: starter Logan Allen (Panama) and reliever Matt Festa (Italy).
Guardians fans will get a chance to watch the team’s No. 1 prospect, Travis Bazzana, play for Team Australia. Bazzana joins two other players on the Columbus Clippers playing in the WBC (Dayan Frias/Colombia and Stuart Fairchild/Chinese Taipei).
Additionally, two Ohio State baseball alums, Seattle Mariners outfielder Dominic Canzone and Houston Astros infielder Zach Dezenzo, will compete for Team Italy.
