In the shadow of the MGM Grand, the outlines of what will eventually be the Athletics‘ new ballpark are starting to appear.
A concrete structure is already in place and looks to be what will eventually become the concourse.
Construction is chugging along steadily, with project director for Mortenson-McCarthy, Tyler Van Eeckhaut, saying that everything is on schedule.
He revealed that two of the buttresses are finished and work is being done on lower-level suites.

All of the buttresses are set to be completed by May, and vertical construction will continue along that timeline.
“I feel great about the progress,” Athletics team president Marc Badain said.
“You heard Tyler’s comments in terms of where they are on the schedule, and we’ve pretty much hit every deadline.
“The county has been great to work with. I feel great about that.”
The Athletics have created an ambitious stadium plan that carries a $2 billion price tag.
It is slated to be ready for the start of the 2028 MLB season.
