The Diamondbacks have become the latest team to push back the start time of a Cactus League game in advance of the heart wave that is expected to hit the Valley later this week.

The club announced that the Friday, March 20, game against the Milwaukee Brewers at Salt River Fields will now begin at 6:10 p.m.

Another game at the same venue — the Giants and the Rockies on Thursday, March 19 — also will be moved to a 6:10 p.m. start.

The National Weather Service is forecasting highs of 107 degrees on March 20 and March 21. It could reach 101 and 105, respectively, on Wednesday, March 18, and Thursday, March 19.

That brings the number of games with adjusted times for later this week to 10.
