Spring training play continues on Monday night in Arizona with a game between the Chicago White Sox and the Texas Rangers.

The White Sox come into Monday night’s game following a tough 10-4 loss to the Royals on Sunday which was credited to Erick Fedde, his first of the season, after 3.2 innings of work in which he gave up three earned runs and struck out four batters. The team’s earned runs came from Edgar Quero, Tanner Murray and Dustin Harris, all on RBI singles. The unearned run came from strong base running, as Miguel Vargas scored on a wild pitch. The team did produce nine hits on the day, but left several runners stranded.

The Rangers will also look to bounce back from a loss after dropping a 5-3 game to the Dodgers on Sunday. Kyle Tucker led the team offensively with two RBIs produced from a home run, his second in spring training play. Teoscar Hernández was responsible for the Rangers’ final run with an RBI double to right field in the bottom of the sixth to tie the game up, but the team ultimately fell short to drop to 14-10.

The Rangers and White Sox met in the first week of spring training play and Chicago walked away with a 3-1 win. This will be the last meeting between the teams in Cactus League play before they meet in July for a three-game series.
