Those strong feelings for both led to a special moment for Troutman in the second game of the softball series between the Bulldogs and the Tennessee Lady Volunteers during the weekend.

In the seventh inning of a scoreless game, Troutman stepped to the plate and launched a solo home run to center field that ended a 1-0 victory for MSU on Saturday over No. 1 Tennessee.
