The Kansas City Royals have a pretty simple mission for the 2026 season in Major League Baseball.
Return to the playoffs.
The Royals missed the big-league postseason last fall and have spent the offseason making tweaks to their roster in hopes of formulating a return. Their quest begins with opening day, which for KC happens on the road this spring.
The Royals’ first game of the MLB season is set for Thursday, March 26 against the Braves at Truist Park in Atlanta.
Many interesting series follow between now and October, when the Royals hope to be playing meaningful baseball once again. Here is a look at Kansas City’s 2026 season in a pocket-calendar format.
