The Athletics’ Opening Day roster is set.

The Green and Gold will begin their 2026 MLB season on the road against the defending American League champion Toronto Blue Jays on Friday at Rogers Centre.

On Thursday, the team shared its initial 26-man Opening Day roster.

Manager Mark Kotsay will carry 13 pitchers and 13 position players on his roster, with right-handed pitcher Gunnar Hoglund beginning the season on the 15-day injured list with a right knee sprain.

Some of the new additions to the roster include backup catcher Austin Wynns, second baseman Jeff McNeil, who the team acquired in an offseason trade with the New York Mets, utilityman Andy Ibáñez, who was claimed off waivers from the Los Angeles Dodgers, right-handed pitcher Aaron Civale, who signed a one-year free-agent contract and relief pitchers Mark Leiter Jr. and Scott Barlow.
