The Seattle Mariners are running out the same lineup as they did on opening day for the second game of the season on Friday night against the Cleveland Guardians.
How Logan Gilbert surprised during Seattle Mariners’ season opener
New third baseman Brendan Donovan will leadoff once again followed by center fielder Julio RodrÃguez, catcher Cal Raleigh, first baseman Josh Naylor, left fielder Randy Arozarena, right fielder Luke Raley, designated hitter Dominic Canzone, second baseman Cole Young and shortstop Leo Rivas. Right-hander George Kirby will take the mound for his season debut.

Seattle’s lineup will match up against Guardians right-hander Gavin Williams, who posted a 12-5 record and 3.06 ERA in 31 starts last season. Williams faced the M’s twice last season, going 1-0 with a 2.25 ERA over 11 innings.
The lineup the M’s have put out for their first two games looks like it could be the norm throughout this year against right-handers, minus shortstop J.P. Crawford, who is on the injured list with right shoulder inflammation but could return on the team’s first road trip.
For those waiting to see the season debuts of new Mariners DH/outfielder Rob Refsnyder and returning right fielder Victor Robles, that should come Saturday unless either are used off the bench Friday night. Seattle is set to face a left-handed starter for the first time Saturday in Cleveland’s Joey Cantillo.
The Mariners face the Guardians in their second game of the season at 6:45 p.m. on Friday night. Radio coverage can be heard on Seattle Sports 710 AM and the Seattle Sports app starting with the pregame show at 6 p.m.
