High Single-A Fort Wayne is opening the 2026 season with six top-30 Padres prospects as ranked by MLB.com.
Left-hander Kash Mayfield (4) headlines that group, followed by catcher/first baseman Lamar King Jr. (16), right-hander Kannon Kemp (19), outfielders Alex McCoy (21) and Kavares Tears (27) and right-hander Jaxon Dalena.
Right-handers Clay Edmonson and Kleiber Olmedo also recently participated in the Padres’ Spring Breakout game, as did shortstop Dylan Grego and outfielder Kasen Walls.
