On Monday night, the Toronto Blue Jays are playing the Colorado Rockies (at home) in Canada.

They are coming off a sweep of the Athletics in their first three games.

Heartbreaking Toronto Blue Jays Injury In Rockies Game

Cody Ponce made his return to MLB action for the first time since 2021.

However, the 31-year-old got injured during the middle of the third inning.

The Toronto Blue Jays wrote: “UPDATE: RHP Cody Ponce was removed from tonight’s game with right knee discomfort.”

Before pitching on Monday night, Ponce had spent part of two MLB seasons playing for the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Over 20 games, he went 1-7 with a 5.86 ERA.

Looking At The Blue Jays

Following their series with the Rockies, the Blue Jays will head on the road to visit the White Sox with the series starting on Thursday in Illinois.

They are coming off a year where they lost to the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 7 of the World Series.
