The Guardians avoided a second straight loss with the 4-2 victory and they dealt the Dodgers their first loss of the season. The Guardians split a four-game series with the Seattle Mariners before coming to Los Angeles and they now sit at 3-2 on the season. The Guardians will now turn to Tanner Bibee on the mound in the middle game of the series. Bibee will be making his second start of the season and will be looking to be better than his first. He went five innings against the Mariners and gave up three runs, all of which came on solo home runs. He struck out seven and walked two. He did not earn a decision as the Guardians would win the game late 6-4.
