Pirates ace Paul Skenes will attempt to turn things around after a rough start to the 2026 season when he takes the mound against the Reds on Wednesday.

On Opening Day, Skenes didn’t make it out of the first inning, allowing four hits and five earned runs in a loss to the Mets. The reigning NL Cy Young Award winner will get a chance to lower his ERA against a Reds lineup that has produced five runs through the first two games of the series.
