MLB Social Media World Reacts To DeLauter Injury
Here’s what people were saying about the news:
@finkn23: “The Guardians screwing up the DeLauter thing was so predictable. Playing him 5 straight days was playing with fire out of the gate. Just an unserious organization from top to bottom. It’s embarrassing”
Mason Horodyski: “Chase DeLauter grounds out to first, but doesn’t run it out after taking that foul ball off his back leg. Winces a bit before jogging off into the #Guardians dugout.”
@NickCaminoWKYC: “Chase DeLauter left tonight’s game against the Dodgers. He took a foul ball that he swung at off the leg in the first inning. Appeared to be in some pain after getting checked out by #Guardians team trainer Jeff Desjardins and manager Stephen Vogt. CJ Kayfus took his spot.”
@BradyH_216: “Video of the Chase DeLauter injury and it doesn’t look great… Not even his fault either. Simply bad luck on the spot of the foul ball…”
@GageEHC: “Man, I don’t doubt that foul ball would hurt but it looked pretty standard. DeLauter couldn’t even make it out of the box. Guy can’t catch a break?”
Austin Malutic: “Chase DeLauter has a Left foot contusion, X-Rays are negative per Cleveland Guardians broadcast team. I’d expect him to be off tomorrow, Already off Thursday. Get ready to go for home opener on Friday.”
