Following Tuesday’s game, Spencer Nusbaum of The Athletic reported the news that the Dodgers are making a trade with the Washington Nationals.

Nusbaum wrote: “The Nationals are sending pitcher Jake Eder — who was just designated for assignment— to the Los Angeles Dodgers, sources tell @Ken_Rosenthal and me.”

Eder is coming off a season where he appeared in eight games for the Los Angeles Angels.

He went 0-1 with a 4.91 ERA.

He made his MLB debut with the Chicago White Sox during the 2024 season.

Nusbaum wrote (on March 28): “The Nationals have acquired utility player Curtis Mead from the Chicago White Sox in exchange for catching prospect Boston Smith.

To make room on the 40-man roster, left-handed pitcher Jake Eder was designated for assignment.”

At 27, he is still an intriguing pitcher for the Dodgers to add to their organization.
