The Cardinals-Mets game was able to start at 1:15 CT today after a brief rain delay.
The tarp is out at Busch Stadium as rain hits the city of St. Louis on Wednesday afternoon, and the rubber match between the St. Louis Cardinals and New York Mets is officially under a rain delay.

When will the Cardinals-Mets game start?
The Cardinals pushed first pitch back to 1:15 central time, and the game was able to get rolling after that brief rain delay.
Last season, the Cardinals had a number of games either delayed or postponed due to weather, so hopefully this is more of a one off situation than a trend once again.
The Cardinals dropped game one of their series on Monday by a score of 4-2 but played a great all-around game on Tuesday to even up the series. Andre Pallante had a good start, throwing five scoreless innings, and the offense and bullpen partnered together to get the Cardinals their smoothest victory of the year. If the Cardinals win today, they’ll finish this home stand 4-2, a great start to what is supposed to be a rebuilding season.
Matthew Libeartore is set to make his second start of the season today, if the game is played, and he’ll face off against right-hander Freddy Peralta, who came over to the Mets via a trade with the Milwakuee Brewers this offseason.
If today’s game was postponed, the Cardinals and Mets could have potentially rescheduled their game to Thursday, April 16th. The Mets will be traveling from Los Angeles to Chicago that day, and the Cardinals will be home in St. Louis preparing to travel to Houston. That’s obviously not the most ideal scenario, so getting the game rolling today was best for everyone.
After this series, the Cardinals will be heading to Detroit for their first road series of the year and then head to Washington next week before returning home.
