The Cubs took the opener 7-2, but were shut out 2-0 on Tuesday in the middle game of the series. The Cubs couldn’t get their bats going on a cold night at Wrigley Field. The loss was their second in the last three games, and they now sit at 2-3 on the season. On Wednesday, they will look to bounce back and earn their first series win of the season. They will send Matthew Boyd to the mound looking to get that win. Boyd pitched well for three innings in his first start, but struggled in the fourth, giving up six runs in a 10-4 loss to the Washington Nationals. He took the loss and will be looking to earn his first win of the season on Wednesday.
