The Los Angeles Dodgers have announced they will take their signature blue uniforms, which are reserved for specific home games, on the road for the first time in franchise history.
The Dodgers are known for one color — blue. “Dodger Blue” is widely recognized as a distinct shade due to its iconic status, and it even serves as the title of one of Kendrick Lamar’s new songs.
In an announcement, the Dodgers highlighted the historic move, making it the first time in the club’s long history that the blue uniforms will be worn by players outside Dodger Stadium.

There will be gray piping to match the gray pants worn by the players on the road, but it will indeed be a jersey color worn only at home.

The uniform will feature red lettering that stands out more on the jersey and contrasts surprisingly well with Dodger Blue.
Also, the signature Dodgers cursive will be worn on the jersey, along with the Dodgers name on the sleeve and “Los Angeles” in big, bold lettering on the front.
The Dodgers made the announcement ahead of their road trip against the Washington Nationals and the Toronto Blue Jays.
The timing of the news is quite interesting, since the Dodgers will be facing their 2025 World Series foes on the road soon, and they could debut the jerseys in time for the game.
