Center fielder Jase Bowen hit his second homer and hit for the cycle and first baseman Jose Miranda hit a grand slam, leading Triple-A El Paso to a 10-5 win on Friday at Tacoma.

Bowen (1.347 OPS) drove in four runs on his four hits and also scored four runs.

Miranda’s grand slam marked his first homer of the season.

Sung-Mun Song played the entire game at shortstop and drove in two runs on three hits. Song is 7-for-24 with three walks and eight RBIs through six rehab games with El Paso.

Left-hander Marco Gonzales (1-0, 6.30 ERA) allowed four runs in five innings in the win.

Right-hander Triston McKenzie walked three over two scoreless innings and right-hander Garrett Hawkins struck out a batter in a scoreless frame.

Right-hander Jason Adam did not pitch as expected.

El Paso is 3-3.

RHP Miguel Mendez (2.45 ERA) struck out two and allowed a run on three hits and two walks in 3⅔ innings in the start.

Great Lakes 2, TinCaps 1: LHP Kash Mayfield (0.00 ERA) struck out four while walking two over three hitless innings I the start. RHP Isaiah Lowe (3.00 ERA) allowed a run in three innings and LHP Braian Salazar (0-1, 9.00 ERA) allowed a run in the seventh. OF Carlos Rodriguez went 2-for-3 with a walk. LHP Alex McCoy went 1-for-3 with a double. C Lamar King Jr. went 0-for-2 with two walks and an RBI.

 

LOW SINGLE-A LAKE ELSINORE (1-1)

Ontario 16, Storm 0: LHP Kruz Schoolcraft, last year’s first-rounder, walked four and allowed six runs on six hits in one-plus inning in his first start. He threw 25 of his 51 pitches for strikes. 2B Jose Verdugo collected two of the Storm’s three hits.
