On Monday night, the Boston Red Sox will host the Milwaukee Brewers at Fenway Park.

The Red Sox are coming off an 8-6 loss to the San Diego Padres (at home) on Sunday.

Red Sox Announce Roster Move Before Brewers Game

Before Monday’s series begins, the Red Sox have announced a roster move.

The Boston Red Sox wrote (via x): “The #RedSox today reinstated RHP Garrett Whitlock from the Paternity Leave List. To make room, Boston optioned RHP Tyler Uberstine to Triple-A Worcester.”

Uberstine’s Background

Uberstine was picked in the 19th round of the 2021 MLB Draft.

He has played in one career MLB game (this season).

The 26-year-old pitched 2.2 innings, allowing three hits, one earned run and one walk (with two strikeouts).

Whitlock’s Background

Whitlock is in his sixth MLB season (all with the Red Sox).

The 29-year-old is coming off a year where he went 7-3 with a 2.25 ERA in 62 games.
