QUINCY — A big fifth inning led the Quincy Blue Devils softball team to a 15-12 win over Western Big 6 Conference foe Galesburg on Monday.
The Blue Devils entered the bottom of the fifth inning down 12-5 before rallying to score 10 runs to take the lead.
Quincy leadoff batter and third baseman Ivy Winter went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two runs and an RBI.
Blue Devils catcher Maggie Neally went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs.
Quincy cleanup hitter and center fielder Avary Hlubek went 2-for-3 with a walk, double, home run, four RBIs, two runs and a stolen base.
Blue Devils left fielder Mia Ellefritz went 2-for-4 with a walk, double, RBI, three runs and two stolen bases.
Quincy shortstop Ava Geisendorfer went 2-for-2 with a double, run and three RBIs.
Blue Devils starting pitcher Izzy Weppler had a no-decision after going four innings with one strikeout, while allowing 11 hits, five walks and 10 earned runs.
Maylee Tipton earned the win in relief for Quincy after pitching three innings and allowing four walks, three hits and one earned run.
Up next for QHS (3-7) is a road game against WB6 rival Moline at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. They will travel to face Alleman for a game at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
