The Los Angeles Angels are set to host the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday. Mike Trout suffered an injury scare over the weekend after getting hit by a pitch in the hand against the Seattle Mariners. The situation was far from ideal for Trout, but he appears to have avoided a long-term injury absence. Trout is back in the lineup for Tuesday’s game, as he is hitting second and playing center field.

Trout admitted that it is a “big relief” to already be back in the lineup, according to Jeff Fletcher of SoCal News Group.
“Mike Trout said it’s a ‘big relief’ to be back in the lineup just 2 days after he was hit in the hand. He was nervous about the severity when it first happened,” Fletcher reported.
The Angels surely feel the same way. Mike Trout has been hit hard by the injury bug over the years. The Halos would love to see him return to his All-Star form while staying healthy.
The three-time MVP has hit just .212 across 10 games this season, but he does have an .859 OPS and two home runs in 46 plate appearances. When healthy, Trout still features more than enough talent to make a significant impact on the field.
The Angels defeated the Braves 6-2 on Monday. LA is currently tied for the division lead in the American League West with the Houston Astros, as both teams are 6-5 overall. The Halos can earn a series win with a victory on Tuesday night. First pitch is scheduled for 9:38 PM EST in Anaheim.
