After allowing 10 runs over the final two innings on Saturday, the Alabama Crimson Tide are in need of a win to avoid a series sweep at the hands of the Arkansas Razorbacks in the finale of a three-game SEC baseball series at Sewell-Thomas Stadium in Tuscaloosa Sunday.
Alabama (26-10 overall, 8-6 conference), ranked as high as No. 7 in one national outlet’s top 25 rankings entering the week and No. 9 in the USA TODAY Sports Baseball Coaches Poll, led 3-1 until Arkansas’ bats came alive in the middle innings with a three-run fifth. The 22nd-ranked Razorbacks (23-13, 7-7) scored 14 runs over the final five innings to beat the Crimson Tide, 15-6.
Alabama will look to salvage the series when it sends freshman right-hander Myles Upchurch (4-2, 3.60 ERA) to the mound in Sunday’s game. Right-hander Tate McGuire (0-0, 3.86 ERA) is scheduled to start the series finale for Arkansas. Here’s how to watch Game 3 between the Crimson Tide and Razorbacks.
