How It Happened

Yale plated the game’s first four runs scoring, once in the first, once in the third, and twice in the fifth. The Crimson turned a double play in the third to help minimize the damage.
Harvard cut into the margin in the top of the sixth. After Rickheim got into scoring position with a double to right center, Colasante brought him home with a double of his own to left field, bringing the Crimson within 4-1.
The Bulldogs scored once in the bottom of the seventh to move ahead 5-1, but the Crimson turned its second double play of the game to remain within four runs heading to the eighth.
Colasante hit a solo home run to left field in the top of the ninth before Yale held on for the decision.
