Randi Roelling dominated Missouri for the second time in three days Sunday, shutting out the Tigers 4-0 at Jack Turner Softball Stadium in Athens, Georgia, to give the No. 14 Bulldogs the series win and drop Missouri back to .500 on the season.

After holding the Tigers scoreless in Game 1, Roelling continued to do the same in Game 3, striking out nine batters while holding Missouri to just four hits. The Tigers finished the weekend series with only four runs against the Bulldogs.

Georgia started its scoring in the second inning, as three straight hits, capitalized by a Bailey Lindemuth single, scored an early run. In the third, a single and double put runners in scoring position before Natalie Ray hit a sacrifice fly to push the lead to 2-0.

The Bulldogs added two more in the fourth and fifth innings with two solo home runs, one from Jaydyn Goodwin in the fourth and the other from Tyler Ellison in the fifth.

Missouri struggled to generate any response, with its best chance coming in the third as Addy Waits doubled to right field before getting gunned out at third on a strong throw from right field. Waits rounded second with hopes of getting a triple but was cut off from the throw.

Outside of Waits, Stefania Abruscato, Madison Uptegrove and Abby Hay were the only other Tigers to get hits. Hays’ single was the first hit of the series for the junior.

Cierra Harrison got the start in the circle for the Tigers but was pulled when she allowed two earned runs and six hits in 2â…“ innings. Marissa McCann followed in relief and gave up two earned runs, three hits and a walk before being subbed out in the sixth.

Abby Carr finished the game at the rubber in a scoreless sixth inning.

The loss drops Missouri to a 22-22 record overall and 6-9 in Southeastern Conference play. The Tigers have a tough schedule ahead of them and will need to be above .500 if they want to make the postseason.

Missouri plays next Wednesday, as it takes on No. 23 Kansas at 5 p.m. in Lawrence, Kansas. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
