To celebrate Texas Tech Night at Globe Life Field, Red Raiders basketball coach Grant McCasland threw out the first pitch ahead of the Texas Rangers’ matchup with the Cardinals.
McCasland wasn’t the only Red Raider involved in the first pitch as Rangers third baseman and former Texas Tech star Josh Jung caught the pitch.
McCasland is coming off a terrific second season with Texas Tech that saw the Red Raiders finish with a 28-9 record and included a run to the Elite Eight. He was rewarded for his outstanding season with an extension that keeps him in Lubbock through the 2030-31 season.
