Local high school baseball fans will have to wait just a little bit longer for the much-anticipated clash between Class 3A powerhouses Eaton and University.
The game was initially scheduled for Friday at University’s Tom Roche Field, 1717 65th Ave., in Greeley. The game has been rescheduled to noon Monday because of Friday’s wet, wintry conditions.
Eaton (11-1 overall, 2-1 in 4A/3A/2A Patriot League play) is ranked first in 3A, according to CHSAA’s Selection and Seeding Index — which will be used next month to draw up the postseason brackets.
University (13-2, 4-0) is one spot behind the Reds, sitting in second.
