Recently, the Los Angeles Dodgers got back into the win column with a blowout 12-3 road win over the Colorado Rockies. Many were surprised when the Dodgers dropped two in a row to the lowly Rockies earlier in the week, but Monday’s win allowed Los Angeles to get a series tie.
One player who stepped up big time in this series was Dodgers star Max Muncy, and after the fourth and final game of the set, he described what went into the team’s strong performance.
“I thought we played good. We had two games in the middle where we missed some opportunities, but overall, I thought we played pretty good. I think the team’s in a great spot,” said Muncy, per SportsNet LA on X, formerly Twitter.
Muncy had four hits, including two home runs, in the game on Monday evening, once again displaying what a valuable weapon he is in this Dodgers’ hitting order.
Los Angeles currently sits at 17-7 on the year, with the best record in the MLB by a half-game over the Atlanta Braves, as they embark on their quest to defend their two straight World Series titles.
The Dodgers stacked the deck even further in their favor this past offseason by adding both Edwin Diaz and Kyle Tucker in free agency, much to the chagrin of the rest of the baseball world, and the team is now hoping to add another ring to its collection before a potential lockout shortens next season.
In any case, the Dodgers will next take the field on Tuesday evening for a road game against the San Francisco Giants.
