Chilton County area baseball teams finished their regular season this past week from April 16-22. When the dust settled, all seven Chilton County area high schools advanced to their respective state tournaments.

Maplesville and Thorsby High Schools won their areas, with the Red Devils taking Class 1A Area 6 and the Rebels winning Class 3A Area 7. By winning the area, both teams will have their first-round playoff series at home. Maplesville hosts Keith High School and Thorsby hosts Childersburg High School, with both series starting on April 23 at 5:30 p.m.

Billingsley, Chilton County, Isabella, Jemison and Verbena High Schools will all be on the road for its first-round playoff series. Chilton County travels to Northridge High School, Jemison travels to Briarwood Christian School, Isabella travels to Ranburne High School and Verbena travels to Fayetteville High School.

Playoff series will start on April 24 with two games at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. If a game three is needed, it will be played on April 25.

Billingsley traveled to University Charter School for its first-round playoff series on April 22 where the Bears fell in straight games — 5-1 in game one and 12-2 in game two, to end their season.
