Chase Petty’s first start since last week’s disappointing Major League Baseball debut came Tuesday for the Triple-A Louisville Bats.

Petty tossed six no-hit innings with three walks and eight strikeouts in the Bats’ 9-1 win against the Omaha Storm Chasers. Petty dropped his ERA in six Louisville starts this season to 2.79.

Petty posted a 3.52 ERA in the five starts he made for the Bats before the Reds promoted him to their taxi squad before a doubleheader against the St. Louis Cardinals. Petty allowed nine earned runs on seven hits and two walks with three strikeouts in 2 1/3 innings in a loss.
