Francis was the Blue Jays starter yesterday and only lasted 1.2 innings before getting pulled after giving up 7 hits, 6 earned runs and only striking out 2 batters in that time.
In the post game show, former Blue Jays catcher Caleb Joseph did not hold back on Francis pointing out that it is ridiculous that he simply will not pitch inside on hitters which is why the Phillies hitters were so comfortable.
Caleb Joseph just ripped into Bowden Francis viciously on the postgame show and I absolutely loved it. He’s absolutely beside himself about the fact Francis vehemently REFUSES to pitch inside to anybody. Phillies hitters were as comfortable as you can possibly be in the box.
Fans took to social media after the post game show to point out how much they agree with Joseph‘s take on the current Francis situation.

Eric Lauer ended up coming in for Francis and pitched 4 solid innings, giving up 0 hits, 0 runs and striking out two batters in that time.
If Francis does not find a way to snap out of this terrible streak, he will surely be gone soon as the Blue Jays cannot afford to keep a pitcher that is struggling this much if they want to make a playoff push.
