The Los Angeles Dodgers are no strangers to pitching injuries, as the issue has unfortunately been present for quite some time now.
The latest name from the rotation to be added to the injured list is Tyler Glasnow. He left back to back starts early due to injury, with his latest ailment — shoulder inflammation — earning him a spot on the IL.

As for when fans can see the All-Star return to the mound, manager Dave Roberts was unclear.
“This is going to be a tricky one as far as timeline,” Roberts said.
Ahead of the IL placement, the skipper wanted to make sure that a pause in his pitching would be the best thing for his right-hander.
“For me, if we’re going to do this, then let’s make sure that we have everything taken care of, as far as the mechanics, the physical part of it. So when we do get him back, then we can just move forward without looking back.”

Glasnow is hardly the first All-Star pitcher to hit the injured list as he becomes the fourth one on the IL for the Dodgers this year.
Help is coming, though, as All-Star Tony Gonsolin has made two starts back, and Clayton Kershaw is ramping up closer to a return to the mound. Although still dazzling with his bat, Shohei Ohtani has yet to pitch in a Dodgers uniform as he is recovering from a 2023 UCL surgery.
Glasnow had a 4.50 ERA before hitting the IL, which would be his highest year-end ERA since 2017 if his season ended today. Through 18 innings pitched, he has thrown 23 strikeouts and 11 walks as he hopes to soon return and get back to the more familiar All-Star form that he had just one season ago.
