The 2025 MLB draft will take place July 13-14 at Coca-Cola Roxy in Atlanta, Georgia.<\/p>\n

Liam Doyle<\/a>, Gavin Kilen<\/a>, Andrew Fischer<\/a>, Dean Curley<\/a>, Marcus Phillips<\/a>, AJ Russell<\/a>, Tanner Franklin<\/a> and Nate Snead<\/a> are former Vols expected to be drafted in 2025.<\/p>\n

Eight former Vols were selected in the 2024 MLB draft: Christian Moore<\/a> (Angels), Blake Burke<\/a> (Milwaukee), Billy Amick<\/a> (Minnesota), Dylan Dreiling<\/a> (Texas), Drew Beam<\/a> (Kansas City), Kavares Tears<\/a> (San Diego), A.J. Causey<\/a> (Kansas City) and Aaron Combs<\/a> (White Sox<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Joe Doyle<\/a> of Future Stars Series released a mock draft for the first round. Below are 2025 MLB draft projections and excerpts for Tennessee players from Doyle.<\/p>\n

\u201cWord on the street is Kilen is unlikely to get out of the top 15 picks in the Draft. Teams above this, like the Athletics and White Sox, shouldn\u2019t be discounted. The Rays have always seemed to prefer position players, and specifically position players with versatility and well-balanced tools. Kilen could move quickly and has the chops to play a number of positions.\u201d<\/p>\n
