While Peralta went six innings and allowed one run (1.50 ERA), Misiorowski went five no-hit frames in his MLB debut Thursday night, striking out five and allowing four walks on 81 pitches before exiting with cramping. Priester was about as good as he’s been all season, going six innings and allowing one run in both starts (1.50 ERA) with 10 strikeouts.

Honorable mention to a couple of bullpen arms, as Abner Uribe and Aaron Ashby combined for six scoreless innings this week, including a three-inning save from Ashby on Thursday night. Nick Mears also worked two perfect innings, striking out a pair.

Top Hitting Performance of the Week

Jackson Chourio had a great week at the plate, slugging a pair of homers and two triples to hit .310/.310/.655 with a team-high nine hits. Sal Frelick also had an eight-hit week, slashing .308/.357/.385 with five RBIs, five runs, two doubles, and a pair of steals.

Injury Notes & Roster Moves

It was a very busy week on the transaction front. It all started on Tuesday, when RHP Grant Anderson was optioned to Triple-A Nashville and swapped places with RHP Easton McGee. McGee would pitch three innings in Wednesday’s loss before being optioned back to Triple-A on Thursday.
The aforementioned Misiorowski replaced McGee on the active roster as he was recalled before his MLB debut Thursday night. To open up a 40-man spot, Brandon Woodruff was moved to the 60-day IL. Note: Given that Woodruff has already been shelved for 60-plus days, he’s still eligible to return ASAP.
Friday was the busiest day of the week for transactions, as RHP Aaron Civale, who publicly requested a trade after being moved to the bullpen, was sent to the Chicago White Sox in a one-for-one deal, with 1B Andrew Vaughn sent back to Milwaukee. Vaughn was optioned to Triple-A Nashville.
To round out the Friday moves, OF Daz Cameron was placed on the paternity list. With two active roster spots open, the Brewers recalled OF Drew Avans and Anderson, who didn’t make any appearances for Nashville in the three days he was with the team.
After Civale was traded, Misiorowski also changed his number from 33 to 32, which is the number he’s used for his entire career.
RHP Derlin Garcia was signed to a minor league contract on Thursday night. At 18 years of age, he’s been assigned to the DSL Brewers Gold. Additionally, OF Amed Rosario was granted his release from a minor league deal with the Brewers. He signed with them on May 15 and appeared in 20 games at Triple-A Nashville.
In a few injury updates, OFs Blake Perkins and Garrett Mitchell were both sent to the ACL Brewers to begin rehab assignments. We could see them back with the major league squad by late June. LHP Nestor Cortes threw another bullpen session and is making progress, as he’s still aiming for an All-Star break return. Brandon Woodruff also completed a bullpen on Sunday morning and will throw another next week before another rehab assignment, with a late June/early July expected return.

On Deck

Monday: Off Day
Tuesday: @ Cubs (7:05 p.m.)
Wednesday: @ Cubs (7:05 p.m.)
Thursday: @ Cubs (1:20 p.m.)
Friday: @ Twins (7:10 p.m.)
Saturday: @ Twins (1:10 p.m.)
Sunday: @ Twins (1:10 p.m.)

Last Week’s Results Monday: Braves 7, Brewers 1 Tuesday: Brewers 4, Braves 1 Wednesday: Braves 6, Brewers 2…

[2403
2229,5,3219,136,160,3220,181,176,4514,4906,3527,4,254,673,67,4311,4310,749
0":"post-108823","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-st-louis-cardinals","8":"tag-ball","9":"tag-baseball","10":"tag-brew","11":"tag-brewers","12":"tag-cardinals","13":"tag-crew","14":"tag-front-page","15":"tag-in","16":"tag-milwaukee-brewers-news","17":"tag-milwaukee-brewers-roster","18":"tag-milwaukee-brewers-scores-standings","19":"tag-mlb","20":"tag-review","21":"tag-st-louis","22":"tag-st-louis-cardinals","23":"tag-stlouis","24":"tag-stlouiscardinals","25":"tag-week
["GET
