Major League Baseball\u2019s \u201cBeat the Streak\u201d game remains undefeated.<\/p>\n

On Monday night, user \u201clotank\u201d had their 50-game streak come to an end in a gut-punching way, ending their shot at reaching 57 games straight and winning $5.6 million.<\/p>\n

lotank picked A\u2019s rookie shortstop Jacob Wilson to get a hit as they looked to extend their streak to 51, which would have brought them to just six games from the prize money.<\/p>\n

Wilson, who was hitting .367 heading into the contest, went 0-for-3 heading into what would eventually be his final at-bat in the bottom of the eighth inning.<\/p>\n

On a 1-2 pitch with a runner on first and one out, Wilson blooped a ball into no-man\u2019s land in right-field and appeared to get his first knock of the night \u2014 and extending lotank\u2019s streak to 51.<\/p>\n

Instead, the play turned into a fielder\u2019s choice after Max Schuemann, who was on first base and wasn\u2019t sure if any of the Astros fielders would get to the ball, was forced out at second.<\/p>\n

An inning later, Nick Kurtz would hit a walk-off home run, giving the A\u2019s the win but ending lotank\u2019s incredible run.<\/p>\n

lotank was just two picks away from breaking the longest streak in the game\u2019s history of 51, which was twice, once in 2017 and again in 2019.<\/p>\n
