Emerson, ranked as the Mariners\u2019 top prospect and No. 16 in all of baseball by MLB Pipeline<\/a>, was named the Northwest League Player of the Week for Jun 15-22 after helping Everett secure the first-half Northwest League championship, which qualifies the AquaSox for the Northwest League championship series in September.<\/p>\n The left-handed-hitting shortstop posted an impressive .529\/.600\/1.118 slash line with four doubles, two home runs, four RBIs and three runs scored over five games. His big week included a three-hit game with two doubles and a home run Tuesday, and a four-hit game (the first of his career) with a double and a home run Wednesday.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n It added on to what\u2019s been a strong month of June for the 2023 first-round pick. After entering the month with a .246 average, Emerson is batting .328 with a 1.037 OPS and 10 extra-base hits in 18 games.<\/p>\n On the season, he is slashing .267\/.372\/.428 with 10 doubles, four triples, seven home runs and 34 RBIs in 63 games at High-A.<\/p>\n Emerson\u2019s honor made it three straight weeks an AquaSox player took home a weekly award. Second baseman Michael Arroyo won player of the week honors last week and Ryan Hawks won pitcher of the week the week prior to Arroyo.<\/p>\n The news of Emerson\u2019s weekly honor came on the same day the Mariners promoted a handful of minor leaguers<\/a>. Those promotions included outfielder Lazaro Montes and Arroyo (a pair of top-10 Mariners prospects) making the jump from Everett to Double-A Arkansas.
