Former Detroit Tigers pitcher Buck Farmer has signed a minor-league contract to return to the Cincinnati Reds organization.<\/p>\n
Farmer, 34, has had a rocky 2025 campaign, posting an 8.64 ERA over 16 2\/3 innings in stints with the Triple-A affiliates of the Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Angels.<\/p>\n
Farmer pitched in parts of eight seasons for the Tigers before he was let go in 2021<\/a>. He made\u00a0his Major League debut in 2014<\/a>\u00a0only one year after being drafted out of Georgia Tech. After beginning his career as a starter, Farmer settled into a relatively reliable role in the bullpen for the final three years of his Tigers\u2019 tenure.<\/p>\n Following a brief stint in the Texas Rangers organization, Farmer signed with the Reds and made the team out of spring training in 2022.
