The Royals are feeling much better after a winning road trip<\/a>, writes Anne Rogers.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve got to stack good wins together,\u201d manager Matt Quatraro said. \u201cAnd this trip was a start. You get one game over on the trip, we\u2019d like more, but we competed well in Seattle with close ballgames there. So to come out of there with a split and get the series win here, we\u2019ve got to keep stacking those together.\u201d<\/p>\n

Michael Wacha blames himself for Saturday\u2019s loss.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cIt starts with myself today,\u201d Wacha, who was tagged with four runs, said. \u201cNelson\u2019s going out, he had his stuff going, and I\u2019ve got to be able to match everything he\u2019s got going on out there. We\u2019ve played a couple of good games in a row, and it starts with me today. I didn\u2019t get the job done.\u201d<\/p>\n

Vinnie Pasquantino had a big night on Friday with two home runs.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cWith how good our pitching staff is \u2014 when you feel good with one run, and then to be able to put up three, it\u2019s just kind of like, \u2018Look at us, we just scored three in one inning,\u2019\u201d Pasquantino said. \u201cWe\u2019ve been having a hard time scoring three in a game. So being able to do that is nice.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd then I think the best part was being able to respond again in the second with more runs. It\u2019s one thing to do it once, but then to be able to keep stacking runs was really good.\u201d<\/p>\n

Two years after getting Tommy John surgery, Kris Bubic is an All-Star.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a moment you\u2019ll never forget, and you\u2019ll never know when you\u2019ll be in a situation like this again,\u201d Bubic said. \u201c… I think it speaks more to just the work we put in, not just this year, but coming back last year from the elbow. It\u2019s been a long road, kind of unpredictable at times, but to be in this situation is pretty cool.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bobby Witt Jr. is glad for a second trip<\/a> to the Midsummer Classic, writes Jaylon Thompson.<\/p>\n
