The stage is set for baseball\u2019s brightest stars. The full lineups for the 2025 MLB All-Star Game \u2014 slated for July 15 at Atlanta\u2019s Truist Park \u2014 have been announced.\u00a0 First pitch is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET, with the game airing live on FOX.<\/p>\n
Fans will recall that, as always, the starting lineups for the MLB All-Star Game are determined by fan voting, while pitchers and reserve players are selected through a combination of player ballots and input from the Commissioner\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n
Unfortunately for Philadelphia fans, no Phillies were named to the National League\u2019s starting lineup, which is as follows:<\/p>\n
Catcher: Will Smith, Dodgers
\nFirst base: Freddie Freeman, Dodgers
\nSecond base: Ketel Marte, D-backs
\nShortstop: Francisco Lindor, Mets
\nThird base: Manny Machado, Padres
\nOutfield:\u00a0Ronald Acu\u00f1a Jr., Braves
\nOutfield: Pete Crow-Armstrong, Cubs
\nOutfield: Kyle Tucker, Cubs
\nDesignated hitter: Shohei Ohtani, Dodgers<\/p>\n
However, two Phillies players are headed to Truist Park to compete in the Midsummer Classic \u2014 and deservedly so.<\/p>\n
The Fightin\u2019 Phils will be represented by ace Zack Wheeler and slugger Kyle Schwarber \u2014 both clear selections given the outstanding seasons each is compiling.<\/p>\n
Wheeler is 9-3 with a 2.17 ERA (sixth in MLB), 148 strikeouts (third), and a 0.84 WHIP (fifth). Given that he\u2019s a Georgia native, it would be a fitting tribute to have him start the game \u2014 a decision that ultimately rests with the National League manager.<\/p>\n
Schwarber is batting .251 with 27 home runs (fifth in MLB), 63 RBIs (tenth), and a .924 OPS (ninth).<\/p>\n
Both players are three-time All-Stars.<\/p>\n
Schwarber told reporters on Sunday that he does not intend to participate in the Home Run Derby, which takes place Monday night (July 14th) ahead of Tuesday\u2019s All-Star Game (July 15th).<\/p>\n
