The only player with more was Barry Bonds, who hit 39 homers over the first half of his record-breaking 73-homer campaign in 2001.<\/p>\n Raleigh shattered the MLB record for first-half homers by a catcher, which Hall of Famer Johnny Bench held for more than five decades after hitting 28 homers before the 1970 Midsummer Classic.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Raleigh is currently on pace for 64 home runs, which would break Judge\u2019s AL single-season record of 62 in 2022.
