I like the Braves to bounce back at home in the series finale on Wednesday afternoon, but I’ll take the better odds on the run line.<\/p>\n

BET BRAVES -1.5 (+125).<\/p>\n

The Braves have been far stronger at home this season, posting a 26-25 record at Truist Park compared to just 18-31 on the road. But Wednesday\u2019s matchup is less about Atlanta\u2019s home success and more about Verlander\u2019s continued struggles on the mound.<\/p>\n

While Verlander\u2019s Hall of Fame r\u00e9sum\u00e9 is unquestioned, his current form is tough to watch. He has yet to record a win this season and carries a bloated ERA. Over his last 3 starts, he\u2019s allowed 11 earned runs and 21 hits in just 11 2\/3 innings.<\/p>\n

The Giants haven\u2019t been much better, going 25-29 on the road with a .230 team average away from Oracle Park. Meanwhile, Strider hasn\u2019t been dominant, but he\u2019s been far more reliable. In his last home outing, he tossed 6 shutout innings against the Yankees, fanning 8.<\/p>\n

Despite San Francisco\u2019s success against Atlanta this season, back the Braves to close out the series with a win on Wednesday afternoon.<\/p>\n

BET OVER 8.5 (-110).<\/p>\n

Verlander\u2019s struggles continue to be a major concern, I’ve got him allowing another 4-6 runs which gets us more than halfway to the Over. The Over is 3-0-1 in the Giants\u2019 last 4 games and 7-2-1 in the Braves\u2019 last 10. With both teams trending that way, the Over is the smart play Wednesday.<\/p>\n
