Former Atlanta Braves star Chipper Jones honored the late Ozzy Osbourne Tuesday afternoon following his death<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Jones is linked to Osbourne due to the fact that his walk-up song throughout his career was \u201cCrazy Train\u201d by Ozzy Osbourne.<\/p>\n

Jones shared a hilarious story involving \u201cCrazy Train\u201d on Twitter on Tuesday, while also telling Osborne to \u201crest easy.\u201d<\/p>\n

“Saddened to hear of the passing of Ozzy Osbourne today,\u201c Chipper Jones posted. \u201dI feel Ozzy and I will forever be linked due to his song, \u2018Crazy Train\u2019! <\/p>\n

\u201cQuick story\u2026.. Facing the Mets at home\u2026. I walk to the plate and say \u2018Hey Mike (Piazza), how\u2019s it going?\u2019 He says, \u2018I\u2019m doing fine Larry, but I hate this [expletive] song!\u2019 I said, \u2018 Well, get ready cuz ur gonna hear about 5 times today!\u2019 Pretty funny \u2026\u2026Rest easy Ozzy!”<\/p>\n

Jones spent all 19 of his MLB seasons with the Braves, before retiring in 2012. He hit .303 for his career, with 468 home runs and 1,623 RBIs.<\/p>\n

The Florida native was an eight-time All-Star who helped the Braves win the 1995 World Series. He was named the National League MVP in 1999 and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2018.<\/p>\n

Jones always seemed to enjoy playing against the rival Mets, and in 245 career games against the Mets he hit .309 with 49 home runs and 159 RBIs.<\/p>\n

Braves fans went wild as Jones walked to the plate with \u201cCrazy Train\u201d playing throughout his MLB career. <\/p>\n

Jones was asked by WVTM<\/a> several years back what memories come to mind when he hears the song. He shared a similar story about Piazza.<\/p>\n

\u201cMike Piazza, oddly enough,\u201d he said. \u201cI would walk into the box and I\u2019d be kind of digging in and I\u2019d say, \u2018What\u2019s up, Michael?’ And he\u2019d go, \u2018How you doing, Larry?\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd then \u2018Crazy Train\u2019 would come on and I could just hear him saying, \u2018I hate that freakin\u2019 song.\u2019 So that one always made me smile when I think about him and his disdain for \u2018Crazy Train.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
