The Rays entered with a 7-8 record and the Red Sox entered at 8-9 on the year.<\/p>\n
At the end of Monday’s game, the Rays crushed the Red Sox, 16-1.<\/p>\n
Tampa Bay scored 14 of the 16 runs within the first three innings, including a nine-run third inning. Red Sox starter Tanner Huock went just 2.1 innings, giving up 12 runs (11 earned) on 10 hits.<\/p>\n

In fact, the Rays did something that had only been done one other time in franchise history, and the MLB revealed the news after the win.<\/p>\n
“For the second time in franchise history each player in\u00a0@RaysBaseball’s starting lineup recorded a run and an RBI.”<\/p>\n
